This year, Aliados partnered with the Kichwa community of 24 de Mayo to launch a "Community of Practice." A group of 26 farmers worked with Aliados to create a demonstration plot in which they gather and generate knowledge about new potential products and services in their farm and forest systems.

To build more resilient agroforestry farms, Aliados provided each participant with a package of 250 trees made of up 18 different fruit and timber species. The trees will be intercropped with short-cycle crops provide short and long-term economic benefits to farmers.
