As the name suggests, collection centers are centralized locations for compiling smallholder bamboo from the surrounding area for sale to African Bamboo and other third parties. Each collection center is expected to service an area of approximately 10,000 ha, equivalent to a radius of 5.7 km surrounding each collection center. The density of collection centers will be adjusted to meet operational requirements over time.

Our collection centers are currently grass-covered, comprising a bamboo shed and a field post for administration. In the future, we will gravel these areas for active use by 20-ton trucks, insert a 20ft container office, and 10-ton bamboo stands. African Bamboo currently has land leases for four collection centers, one each in Arbegona, Bona, Bursa, and Hula districts.
