Our forests are made up of around 40 unique stewardship zones covering approximately 1300 acres. The Forest Group protects, restores, and maintains these green spaces collectively. We meet every month to share information, tackle issues such as encroachment, and decide about allocation of funds. Our primary goals include planting and maintaining Auroville’s forested areas, restoring and upholding biodiversity, conserving soil and water, and taking a lead in environmental education and innovation
