Savimbo is a social enterprise made by, and for, Indigenous Peoples and local communities to access climate markets directly. We stop deforestation and sell six climate products biodiversity, carbon, tree, and water credits, ecotourism, and agrobiodiversity crops. Our charitable arm helps communities with land rights, literacy, and living conditions.
The Tigres del Alto Vereda is a community in the Putumayo Amazon known for protecting 14k hectares of biodiversity hotspot with a very high level of rare species that is profoundly under categorized. They have stopped hunting on the vereda and voluntarily protected an endangered bear without resources for twenty years.
The community is the birthplace of the Indicator Species Biodiversity Methodology and its land is enrolled in the Savimbo Biodiversity Putuymao project.
