The over 100 brazil nut concessions that Candela works with are in primary forests in the Tambopata and Tahuamanu provinces of Madre de Dios. The total area covers more than 120,000 hectares of forest.
In the Madre de Dios region, Candela has five supply centers, where the reception and storage of the brazil nuts are carried out, then it is transferred to the processing plant in Puerto Maldonado where the reception and primary transformation of the raw material is carried out.
