Lodge workers are hired from local villages. This changes their income source from damaging practices such as illegal logging and poaching to a sustainable way of life that helps tourists experience the beauty of the Southern Cardamom watershed.

This lodge allows people worldwide to support the health of this extraordinary ecosystem through tourism. The lodge has been visited by over 4,000 tourists and brought $430,000 in annual income to fifteen local communities in the first quarter of 2020 alone.
