Pangolin Poaching

On March 5, 2020 a family of critically endangered Sunda Pangolins were rescued by the Southern Cardamom Forest Protection Rangers.

These extremely rare animals are sought after for their scales used in traditional medicine and are sold alive in China’s wet markets. These wet markets are highly lucrative for poachers who traffic pangolins out of the Cardamoms.
