Rewilding Apennines is Rewilding Europe’s key partner to develop large coexistence corridors in the Central Apennines by connecting the local economy with wilder nature in five corridors collectively covering more than 100,000 hectares.
We want to make Europe a wilder place, with more space for wild nature, wildlife and natural processes. In bringing back the variety of life, we will continue to explore new ways for people to enjoy and earn a fair living from the wild.
This project is stewarded by organisations that are members of the Global Rewilding Alliance. Members sign on to the Global Charter for Rewilding the Earth: Advancing nature-based solutions to the extinction and climate crises, outlining 12 guiding “Principles for Rewilding”.
