Summary
This project will create plantations of silk-host trees on 2,000 hectares from privately-owned wastelands of farmers that were formerly lying fallow and marginally used over many years. The plantation will result in 865,983 tons of CO2 removal. This project is a viable solution to combat both climate change and livelihood insecurity of communities that are vulnerable to extreme climatic conditions in India.
