Bringing Sydney's Kelp Forests Back to Life

We were so stoked to make this seaweed planting event a community activation with the locals at Bondi Beach - and great have our pals from Spooked Kooks, Surfers for Climate, and Surfrider Australia show up and lend a hand.

This project marks the start of bringing ~ 70 km / 43 miles of kelp along the Sydney coast back to life. These kelp forests, locally known as Crayweed, once formed dense beds along the Sydney coastline. But their drastic decline has been linked to climate change, poor water quality, overfishing, and the degradation of our ocean planet.

Together with these amazing partners, and your support, we are regenerating these critical ocean ecosystems once again.
