A new phase: community-based forest management

As the project moves into its next phase, the focus will be on community-based forest management. We are engaging 13 500 families to create and strengthen community-led governance structures that will protect and restore over 7500 ha and create new income generating models like beekeeping to support community resilience. Here, Thokozani is presenting the co-management project to 17 National Forestry Department staff members. Full support was received from them as well as from the District Executive Committee of Mulanje.
