Project Title: Scaling Sustainable Herbal Production, Value Addition and Community Livelihoods in Northern Uganda.

Doctinlife Herbal Solutions Limited is a Ugandan herbal enterprise committed to creating a lasting legacy of natural health through medicinal plant cultivation, herbal product development, value addition, and community empowerment.

Our project aims to establish a sustainable community-based herbal production and supply chain by working with smallholder farmers, traditional knowledge holders, and local communities to cultivate, process, and supply quality herbal materials for the growing natural health industry.

Through our partnership with Kwera Herbal Garden CBO in Dokolo District, we are building a model that connects medicinal plant cultivation with reliable markets. The initiative begins with 120 farmers in Kwera Sub County, with an ambition to expand to 2,000 farmers across the Lango sub-region.

We focus on cultivating nine medicinal plants: Moringa, Neem, Aloe Vera, Mukuzannume, Katunkuma, Ginger, Turmeric, Basil, and Trifolia. Particular attention is given to propagating and conserving Mukuzannume and Katunkuma, while preserving indigenous Lango herbal knowledge through intergenerational learning.

Doctinlife Herbal Solutions Limited provides an important market linkage by creating opportunities for farmers to supply herbal materials for value-added herbal products. This approach helps farmers generate income, strengthens local agricultural enterprises, reduces dependence on wild harvesting, and creates opportunities for rural employment.

Our long-term vision is to develop a scalable herbal enterprise that combines traditional knowledge, sustainable agriculture, responsible processing, market access, and entrepreneurship to improve livelihoods while contributing to environmental conservation.

Our ultimate goal is to build a thriving herbal economy that transforms local medicinal plant resources into sustainable livelihoods, community prosperity, and accessible natural health solutions.
