The Ejido Heredia y Anexos project comprises multiple forestry initiatives across various regions in Chihuahua, Mexico. This project focuses on sustainable forest management and carbon capture, involving communities such as Comunidad Tutuaca, Ejido Conoachi y Anexos, Ejido Basaseachi, Ejido Heredia y Anexos, and Condueñazgo Memelichi. Each sub-project is designed to manage and protect forest areas, contributing to carbon sequestration and supporting local ecosystems. The project includes diverse forest types such as pine-oak forests and pure pine forests, featuring species like Quercus rugosa, Pinus durangensis, and Juniperus deppeana. The project is developed and verified according to the Forest Protocol for Mexico by various organizations including BRET Consultores and Bioforestal Innovación Sustentable SC, under the supervision of the Asociación de Normalización y Certificación A.C. Verification confirms the accurate quantification of greenhouse gas removals and carbon credits generated, ensuring compliance with environmental and social safeguards.
