The village is located in Xayaboury district of Xayaboury province and is inhabited by 197 families, out of which 30 are women headed. The households belong mainly to the Lao Loum and Khummu ethnic groups. There are a few (less than 5) household belonging to Youan and Prai ethnic groups. The focused forest products in the village are paper mulberry and teak, which has 10 ha of plantation. However, the villagers do not have teak certificate- a document to legalize ownership of the plantation- to any of plantation plots.
