Twelve supporters met to discuss the future of our food security initiative. They emphasised the importance of affordable, cleaned fish, requested more local options.

ABALOBI's Snoek initiative boosts food security and strengthens local economies by providing affordable, quality fish, while preserving traditional fishing practices in our community.

ABALOBI dispatched 150kg of fish from Cape Town to Langebaan that was received by Ms Solene Smith. The fish was donated to enable Solene's soup kitchen to provide an additional source of protein to the less fortunate.

The Food Security Station at ABALOBI's recent Open Day facilitated the sale of affordable, high-quality fish, addressing food security concerns while supporting local fishers.

Since 2019, over 19 000 kg of fish have been distributed for Food Security purposes! See attached visual for further details.
