In April 2022, a two-and-a-half-hour skills audit workshop was conducted with 33 fisherwomen in Hamburg, Eastern Cape, to accurately design a pantry course relevant to their needs.
Workshop Activities: During the workshop, fisherwomen participated in small group discussions, sharing their experiences regarding personal and home hygiene, cooking, their use of ICTs, cultural food traditions, and their expectations for a potential training course.
Outcome: The insights gained from this skills audit were invaluable in preparing course materials tailored to assist the fisherwomen of Hamburg in enhancing their skills base.
