This is a pilot project which will lease land and plant more than 7M of native trees produced locally on 4,689 hectares and will absorb around 187,500 tons of carbon dioxide every year.The planted trees will restore animal habitat and biodiversity, increase rainfall and agricultural production; local community economy will be boosted by the agricultural activities and tree products (fruits, honey, medicine, etc); soil erosion is mitigated by the project.
