Establishment of trees in lowlands of San Felipe, and some images of the Pataxte (Theobroma bicolor) trees

We recently conducted a brush cleaning in the area and established young cacao plants in the understory. In the area approximately 250 seedlings were planted. The soils in the area are good quality but it was hard to dig the holes due to the massive limestone found throughout.
