Challenge: Healthy forests for people
Madre de Dios • Peru Started in January 2022 Active Agroforestry, Natural Forest Management
The Madre de Dios region in the Peruvian Amazon, faces landscape changes that threaten biodiversity and local wellbeing, due to practices like agriculture expansion, logging, and mining. Collaborating with partners, we merge conservation with community needs using scientific and local knowledge to establish innovative models. Projects include Territorial Governance, Knowledge Dialogues, and Networks for Transformative Change, that together aim to counter these challenges effectively.
