Commissioned in 2010, the Toba Montrose project is BC’s largest run-of-river hydroelectric initiative. Despite geological challenges, it launched ahead of schedule, earning a 2011 engineering award. Spanning three First Nations' territories, it benefits the Klahoose through an agreement that provides royalties, equity, and jobs. The Qathen Xwegus Management Corporation oversees Klahoose's economic activities, prioritizing long-term community benefits.
