Project
Monitoring of Tiger Populations in the Central Indian Tiger Landscape
Central Indian Landscape • India Started in January 2013 Active Conservation, Research
Summary
The prime focus of this monitoring exercise is to carry out long-term, fine-scale camera trapping sampling in key Protected Areas and areas outside Protected Areas such as corridors and forest blocks to provide reliable data on tiger population estimates. Data from multi-season, long-term, intensive surveys is crucial for taking informed conservation decisions and planning for landscape-scale conservation of wildlife and their habitats.
