Territorial governance is a key element of how humans and nature interact. The aim of this project is to investigate different indigenous governance schemes and contribute to a more responsible and fair territorial management. Transdisciplinary case studies in Madre de Dios, and the comparison with other tropical forest contexts, such as Madagascar and Laos, will help identify leverage points that can guide the design of improved governance schemes.
