Kruger to Canyons Biosphere Region
The Kruger to Canyons Biosphere (K2C) was established in 2001 as a recognised UNESCO site under the Man and Biosphere Programme. The name Kruger to Canyons stems from the importance and long-term vision of a connected area of natural habitat that links the great escarpment mountains from the Blyde River Canyon in the west with the Greater Kruger National Park (KNP) in the east.
