The source of the Elandspad river lies above large Agtertafelberg mountainous basin below Wemmershoek Peak.

Invasive species:
Upper reached pine and hakea.
Lower reaches towards confluence with Moolnaars, above, and black wattle, gum and stink bean.

Densities:
upper reached scattered to moderate.
lower reaches:
-landscape scattered to moderate.
-riparian: moderate with some dense pockets.
