During the past 25-30 years, the forest coverage of the Republic of Armenia has been cut dramatically. Increasing the forest coverage, which includes afforestation and reforestation, is considered to be one of the most important tools dedicated to the mitigation of the Climate change. The primary goal of reforestation is to recover disturbed forest ecosystems by implementing different strategies.
