The Whatsapp Chatbot

The initial aim of this project was to use a WhatsApp chatbot to onboard/gather basic information from users, such as their name, surname, and banking details for a Savings Pilot funded by the World Bank. Users can opt-in, choose their savings percentage, pause/unpause their savings plan, ask questions, and change any of these details at any time.

Its Development: During the development of the initial version of this bot, data such as age, gender, and tech confidence of users was gathered. I spent considerable time analyzing the performance of previous WhatsApp chatbots to identify what worked and what didn't.

Simplified User Interface: The decision was made to keep the interface as simple as possible. Button features and minimal menu options were the main implementations in these early stages.
