Presentation of Poster at Tropentag Conference

On September 10, 2020, Green Balam Forests presented a poster explaining the significance in its project of the ramón tree (Maya breadnut/Brosimum alicastrum) and its products. The Tropentag is an annual, German conference concerning food security in tropical countries. The internationally attended event was by virtual participation this year. It provided an opportunity to present and discuss the importance of the ramón tree as well as the Green Balam agroforestry concepts, thereby attracting international, academic notice. Enquiries from several graduate students interested in internships or research possibilities were received. Thanks to Andrew Puente, founder of his own conservation organization named "Journeys in Conservation" for his assistance in creation of the poster. He has often worked cooperatively with Green Balam Forests.
Authors of the poster were Scott Forsythe, Sebastian De la Hoz, and Andrew Puente.
