One of Restoration Era’s biggest focuses is the longevity of the forest. The forest in this region was impacted by unsustainable logging and shrimp farms clearing the forest and then dumping toxic water into the existing forest. In order to prevent future people driven deforestation Restoration Era set up a day for the community in the area to come learn about the project, the importance of the forest, and hands on experience to have pride in their forest.

Schools, churches, community groups, and even the military in the zone showed up and spent the day with our planting team. The planting team shared about the importance of the work and then assisted the community volunteers in a morning of restoration work.
