Batu Agung is located in the Central Seruyan sub-district of Seruyan district in Central Kalimantan Province. Topographically, it is located in the plains. It is 30 km away from the center of the sub-district. The village covers an area of 3319 ha, of which 47.8% is located within a forest.

Batu Agung has a total population of 1,620, and the primary sector of its economy is agriculture. It is approximated that the primary commodities in this village are dryland paddy and fruits (banana, durian, rambutan, and bread tree), as reflected in the Central Seruyan profile.

Oil palm farmers from the village are currently completing the RSPO certification process and expect to get certified by August 2023.
