The center is situated in a reconstructed historic granary. It has been used as a space for workshops and educational activities, presenting nature conservation activities and protection of the rare species of the area. The building is divided into different parts - on the first floor there is an interactive exhibition, room for workshops, on the upper floor there is a possibility to accommodate visitors. During warmer months (from late spring to early fall) it can be used as an accommodation facility for summer camps, attendants of workshops and researchers who monitor different species in the area.
However, to be able to use it all around the year it is needed to do some upgrades. We would love to insulate the building so there are no heat losses and heating is efficient in terms of costs and saving resources. Since the foundation is contrived by the old building, excessive humidity appears, especially during winter when there is less air flow. That is why we would like to install solar powered dehumidifiers that extract the redundant water, at the same time prolong its service life and also help better the condition of the building and working condition.
