Background
Building upon this success and to leverage this new engagement mechanism to a wider group of actors, an interactive project presentation and communication portal will be created. The portal will help to showcase the new engagement mechanism as an example of best practice in the sustainable forestry sector. The focus will be on forest impact and landscapes.
The value should add to the work of WWF and the initiative participants.
Goal
The goal of the new portal will be the presentation and quantitative documentation of a compelling case of WWF’s global engagement that has resulted in better and more sustainable forest management practices.
Each participant will be able to create a public profile of his engagement with spatial and audiovisual content to tell their project story in the context of the entire landscape. Transparent communication of KPIs will help to evaluate outcomes and impacts. During the first three years, the portal will host and feature 30 - 50 projects.
