SeaTrees Coral Restoration at Nusa Penida Island in Bali, Indonesia
With the support of
SeaTrees
SeaTrees creates connections between people and brands that are ready to meet this challenge, and the social entrepreneurs and scientists who know how to regenerate ecosystems but struggle for funding and recognition. The mission of SeaTrees is to provide financial support to "regenerative" projects that protect and restore critical ocean ecosystems such as kelp forests, mangrove forests, coral reefs, seagrass, and ridge to reef watershed conservation.
In collaboration with
Ocean Gardener
SeaTrees has partnered with Ocean Gardener to restore 2,000 square meters of coral reef in Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia. Ocean Gardener is a local Indonesian non-profit organization founded in 2016. Ocean Gardener aims to use their 20 years of experience in Coral Farming in Indonesia for restoration and educational purposes. Their team, consisting of marine biologists, divers, coral farmers, and educators works hard to provide Indonesian coastal communities with knowledge about their reefs.
