Rosenhäger Wiese
Conservation Agriculture 5,83 ha

The Rosenhäger Wiese is a 5.4 hectare grassland area that was used for fodder production in the past. The site is a former peatland that was drained for agricultural use. The peat body in the area is severely degraded and urgently needs to be renaturalised.
An assessment by the Greifwald Moor Centre has shown that the area emits around 100 tonnes of CO2/year. Renaturalisation will raise the water level in the area, which will stop this emissions.
