Good Health and Well-being
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
Forests play a crucial role in purifying the air, contribute to mental well-being through recreation, and regulate the climate, which can impact the spread of diseases. With our project, we contribute to the sustainable stability of the forest and the reduction of air pollution.
Clean Water and Sanitation
Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
Forests support SDG 6 by regulating the water balance, improving water quality, protecting water sources, and stabilizing water supply through their contribution to climate protection. Mixed forests are characterized by their water regulation and storage capabilities. Our project promotes the transformation of monocultures into mixed forests.
Decent Work and Economic Growth
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
Sustainable forestry creates jobs in the forestry sector and related industries such as wood processing and timber trade, thereby supporting the creation of decent work within the framework of SDG 8. The forest owners of our project only hire local employees to secure jobs and promote regional economic growth.
Responsible Consumption and Production
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Wood as a renewable resource provides an ecological alternative for the construction industry. However, to be sustainable, wood production must be forward-looking. Our climate protection projects with FSC/PEFC certification, TÜV audits, and monitoring ensure the future viability of regional forests.
Climate Action
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
Forests make a significant contribution to climate protection by actively capturing and storing CO2 from the atmosphere. Additionally, they regulate local climates, promote sustainable forestry practices for climate change adaptation, and contribute to the resilience of ecosystems through biodiversity conservation. Through our climate protection projects, we enhance the CO2 storage in forests and actively contribute to climate protection.
Life on Land
Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss
German forests significantly contribute to the implementation of SDG 15 by protecting biodiversity. They provide habitats for a variety of plant and animal species and contribute to the stability and resilience of ecosystems. Our project aims to actively promote sustainable management of forests. The integration of new, climate-resilient tree species also plays a crucial role in enhancing biodiversity.
