Wild Fire

A small wild fire was fortunately put out with rapidity on Friday 4th August.

It was a remarkable demonstration of how organised and dedicated our workforce is, that the whole team were immediately mobilised and succeeded in quenching the fire that started in the savannah area. Given the dry bush and the fact that they were armed only with watering cans or buckets, the nearest water point being the wildlife pond, this was a huge undertaking.
We congratulate everyone in the rescue team for their quick response as the woodlands and hill forest were saved before it spread.
As Isaac our re-wilder walked into the site a snake stuck to his leg as a means to escape, let's hope there were other lucky escapes.
With so much wildlife taking refuge here and all the hard work growing such wonderful rich habitats, to lose it would indeed have been a tragedy. Well done team, many of whom are in the photo gallery here.
Please send more tree funds via the call to action button here, this Kofi platform takes no commission so all funds reach us as described. Trees and their care can be purchased in the shop. Thank you.
