This new hospital (still under construction but due to open in 2022) is an expansion of the Rwenzori Founders clinic which offers the community subsidised healthcare. Due to demand there was a need to expand and when the nearest hospital in Kilembe was recently swept away and destroyed by flash floods, our new hospital was ideally placed to replace it. The new hospital will serve 200,000 people in the region.

The gardens will be planted with useful medicinal and fruit plants and the hillside is being re-wilded to extend the Rwenzori Founders' corridor. Neighbours in the area are also replanting in their footsteps.
