Hamburg is a coastal community situated in the Ciskei region of the Eastern Cape along the Keiskamma estuary.
Data collection is critical for this fishery to start taking ownership of their marine resources as well as to better manage the stocks. The fishery is in decline and stocks are heavily depleted and under pressure.
