This project aimed to address Seychellois fishers' needs by testing co-management using data-driven tools. VMS units were installed on fisher vessels, and fishers submitted catch data using the ABALOBI FISHER app. The tracking data and the catch data were combined, aggregated, and visualised, and a framework was developed recommending how the data could inform marine co-management, giving Seychellois fishers unprecedented agency in the process of participating in co-management.
