The Praslin Workshop: An inception workshop was held on Praslin due to its close-knit fishing community, aimed at facilitating data collection. Over 20 participants attended, mostly fishers, along with representatives from SWOIFish and SFBOA, the project team, and a Member of the National Assembly for Grand-Anse Praslin.

Addressing Concerns: While the NEMO device, known for its VMS system, initially faced objections regarding its placement on boats, size, and management, these concerns were allayed during the course of the workshop.

Establishing Roles and Duties: In addition to discussing the project objectives, the workshop established the roles and duties of the implementing partners and participating fishers.
