The project Urban Green Spaces Zürich focuses on transforming unused urban spaces into small parks, tree alleys, and community gardens. Our goal is to increase the amount of greenery in the city, support biodiversity, and provide local communities with healthier living environments.
By planting trees near schools, creating pollinator-friendly gardens, and improving park areas, we aim to:
Reduce heat in summer and improve air quality.
Support local wildlife such as birds, insects, and pollinators.
Offer residents safe and pleasant spaces for recreation and relaxation.
The project will start in the central districts of Zürich and expand step by step into other neighborhoods. Collaboration with local communities, schools, and volunteers will be a key factor in its success.
