Nestled in Coastal Kenya, Pangani is a unique limestone coral ecosystem that once thrived as a forest haven, rich in biodiversity and beauty. Over decades, this landscape has faced degradation due to maize farming and local mining. Today, through collaboration and commitment, the Pangani community is working to heal the land and nurture its abundant life once more.
At Star Seed, we believe beauty begins with regeneration, of your skin, the land, and the communities who call it home. Together with The LEAF, we are proud to support Pangani's efforts to restore its forest with an indigenous tree nursery at the centre of the community. This marks our 5th regeneration project, deepening our commitment to giving back to the land that inspires our skincare.
The Pangani restoration effort is powered by the heart and hands of a deeply committed local community. With guidance from WWF, they’ve established a thriving nursery that cultivates 20+ indigenous species, each representing hope for a greener future.
Smallholders and tribal communities are the stewards of this restoration. Representing 5% of the global population, these groups hold 25% of the planet’s land and safeguard 80% of its biodiversity. By supporting Pangani, we stand with these communities as they lead the way in regeneration
