As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we carried out tests to innovate and refine our direct seeding techniques. The goal is to boost the survival and growth rates of woody species planted in half-moons.

We’re currently testing a new method: mechanized Zaï, inspired by a traditional Burkinabé farming technique. While manual Zaï is highly effective, it is extremely labor- and time-intensive—requiring up to 300 hours per hectare.
