Project Details:

Water security - borehole enhancement:
2022 project was the drilling of a borehole, within the 2023/24 year the electrical cable was extended, and a
pump was installed by Savuki Drilling. The crèche now benefits from having running water, thanks to the tank
connected to the borehole as well as the upgrading of the gutters with a rainwater tank.

Infrastructure -
Classroom repairs:
Learning centre has received a revamp from roofing to floors!
Ablution facilities:
Building of a new 5 toilet enviro-loo block to improve the sanitation and well-being of the learners at the centre.
Play areas and resources:
Revamp and additions made to the play grounds and toy resources.

Food security - shade netted vegetable garden:
A 6m x 12m shade netted garden was constructed adjacent to the school kitchen to provide the crèche with home-grown produce. These enhancements have greatly improved the facilities at Mabana Edu-care Centre, contributing to the overall well-being and education of the children.

Teacher Training:
Weekly teacher training done through the University of Pretoria, facilitated by the TF.
