The Thin Green Line project straddles the diverse landscapes of the spectacular Illawarra Escarpment which, in terms of forest connectivity, is at its thinnest point between Newcastle and the Victorian Border. The project provides landholders with funding assistance, to support tree planting, weed & feral animal control training and Land for Wildlife registration.

This project is stewarded by organisations that are members of the Global Rewilding Alliance. Members sign on to the Global Charter for Rewilding the Earth: Advancing nature-based solutions to the extinction and climate crises, outlining 12 guiding “Principles for Rewilding”.
