Year 2017 was a challenging year for WIF and Thor Heyerdahl climate park since auditors from RINA visited the site for the validation and registration process. After submitting all the documents, VCS approved the project and listed as a registered project. This is the 4th mangrove project in the world, and Myanmar's 1st to register as a VCS project. In July we will begin the verification and expect to issue Myanmar's first Blue Carbon credits by the end of 2018.
