Agrofor Change: Agroforestry in the Community of Tsiatosika, Madagascar
Site
Agroforestry demonstration site and family plots
Agroforest 4,63 ha

The two larger polygons are the agroforestry sites of my family, which were a pilot project.
Site 1: 1.45 hectares
Site 2: 2 hectares

The smaller polygon to the south is the 1-hectare community demonstration site. This is where the community project begins! Here, we will plant 1,200 trees on one hectare of my family's land together with community members, who will receive training in agroforestry, access to the this new agroforest, and seedlings to take back to their own landholdings to plant.

This phase will:

Boost food production up to 5 tonnes per hectare
Increase household income by 20-30%
