Agrofor Change: Agroforestry in the Community of Tsiatosika, Madagascar
Site
Agroforestry demonstration site and family plots
Agroforest 0,99 ha

This polygon is the 1-hectare community demonstration site, bordered by approximately 3.5 ha of agroforestry planted on family land over the years. This is where the community project begins! Here, we planted 1,200 trees on one hectare of my family's land together with community members, who received training in agroforestry, access to the new agroforest, and seedlings to take back to their own landholdings to plant.

This phase will:
Train 100 farmers
Plant 1,200 trees across 1 hectare
Boost food production up to 5 tonnes per hectare
Increase household income by 20-30%
