As the dry summer is approaching, it is time to cut some of the grasses in this area.
We cut the grass the old school way: with a scythe. This way we don't have to use fuel using machines and stay in contact with the natural ways.
Afterwards we collect the biomass and cover the soil around the planting lines, protecting it from the harsh sun and wind conditions. This way the microbacterial and fungal life which are crucial for the ecosystem get a chance to survive the long summer months.
