In order to accommodate trees and grow them from seed or cuttings, we started constructing a small tree nursery.
We mostly use material that is available and give it a new purpose. Later we will cover the structure with a framework with a fine net, creating half shade. The nursery brings a lot of benefits
🌱 - The half shade creates great stable and mild circumstances for seeds to develop into seedlings and cuttings to develop roots
☀️>🌧️-This structure builds a bridge between the harsh summer and the planting (rain) season
💪🏼 - More independency from local commercial tree nurseries
🏡 - A structured place close to water supply and the house to nurse and feed big amounts of trees
🌳🌴🌲🌱🌿🌵- We can select the species we want to introduce in the projects we support - increasing biodiversity
The next step will be to make a seed bank. We will combine planting seeds directly in the soil and propagating them from seed or cuttings in the nursery.
