In the Escola dos Dragões educational project, located in the village of Soajo ( Arcos de Valdevez, northern Portugal) children and tutors assume the regular activity of sowing and propagating species to be used in ReflorestarPT's national agroforestry projects.

Kids ranging from 3 to 14 years old have programmed activities to collect, choose the seeds and cuttings from local species in natural settings. Learning in site about each specie and the ecological, economical and nutritional value of each one of them. Through experiential learning environmental education we engage in the nursery setting, all the needs such as potting tables, seed trays, and prepare the subtract for the specific needs of each of the species.

This is a project led by Reflorestar Portugal and we invest in the plants as a way of encouraging the children and enable them to invest in the needs of the school project.
