Summary
In the midst of the African vulture crisis, the Endangered Wildlife Trust has launched a series of Vulture Safe Zones to secure large tracts of suitable habitat in which land is managed in a vulture-friendly manner, reducing threats to vultures so that populations can thrive. We have also deployed an innovative system that uses GPS-tracked vultures to detect poisoning events and trigger a rapid response to these, alerting teams on the ground, and preventing further loss of wildlife to poisoning.
